Federal Regulatory
Requirements
Federal Regulatory Requirements are in addition to State Regulatory Requirements and may include additional or enhanced requirements not included by your facility's state.
For example, Federal DSCSA requires the storage of product purchasing data for six years while many states require only two. An FDA Inspector will expect that six years of history have been maintained to pass their audit.
State Regulatory
Requirements
State Regulatory Requirements must be met to be considered compliant with Federal Requirements, however each state has their own Rules and Boards which oversee state laws applying to pharmaceuticals.
For example, Florida State Statues have security requirements for trading partner physical locations while DSCSA does not address physical location security requirements.
